The hiking trail from Ilet to Guillaume has only recently opened again last year. Head off to discover an area with an impressive past, while admiring the view of the Rivière Saint-Denis waterfalls from the lookout point .

This is an exceptional exploratory hike looking at local history. From the runaway slave known as “Guillaume” to the former jail of the Fathers of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, let your guide tell you all about days gone by. You will also discover native plants and trees, often overtaken by exotic species which were introduced by humans.

The return walk is 16 kilometres long with an elevation gain and loss of 800 metres.
Make sure you bring a picnic !

Practical information :

Conditions : Minimum age: 12 years old For walkers who hike regularly. Some river walking.

Timings : From 7.30am to 4pm approximately.

Dates in 2018 : Sundays 18 November and 9 December.
